FAQs

We answer common questions about Odoo implementation, migration, customisation, support and invoicing.

What is Odoo and what is it used for?

Odoo is a business management platform with applications for CRM, sales, invoicing, accounting, purchasing, inventory, projects and other areas. It offers different editions and hosting options, with different features and licences. Its modular structure lets implementation be tailored to each business. Avannubo configures Odoo to connect processes and simplify business management.

Is Odoo suitable for an SME?

Yes, Odoo can suit an SME through an implementation focused on the processes it needs to manage. You can start with selected applications and expand the scope as the business evolves. Consider integrations, data, training and costs from the outset. Avannubo analyses these needs to propose a proportionate solution for each business.

How much does it cost to implement Odoo in a business?

The cost depends on the edition, users, applications, hosting and implementation work. Where applicable, licence costs must be supplemented by configuration, data migration, training, integrations and maintenance. Odoo Community and the vendor’s commercial offerings have different terms. Avannubo prepares a proposal based on the project scope and current pricing.

Why choose an official Odoo partner?

An official partner is listed in the vendor’s directory and can bring experience in Odoo analysis, implementation and support. Before choosing one, check its category, team certifications and references from similar projects. Partner status alone does not guarantee the outcome: methodology, scope and the quality of customisations also matter.

What are the stages of an Odoo implementation?

Implementation usually includes process analysis, scope definition, configuration, customisation, data migration and testing. Users are then trained and go-live takes place with support. The order and duration depend on the project. Avannubo plans these stages to align Odoo with the company’s operations and priorities.

What are the risks of using an old version of Odoo?

An older version may lose standard support coverage, make integrations harder and accumulate incompatibilities or maintenance issues. The situation depends on the edition, version and existing contracts. Modules, customisations and data must be reviewed before migration. Avannubo plans and tests the upgrade to reduce its impact on operations.

When must invoicing software be adapted to VERI*FACTU regulations?

Under the timetable in force on 30 October 2026, corporate income tax taxpayers within the regulation’s scope must adapt their systems from 1 January 2027; other affected taxpayers must do so from 1 July 2027. Exclusions and specific provisions apply. VERI*FACTU is one compliance method: the regulations also provide for NON-VERI*FACTU systems with their own requirements.

What is SII and who is required to use it?

SII enables VAT ledgers to be maintained by electronically supplying invoicing records to the Spanish Tax Agency. It applies, among others, to large businesses with turnover exceeding €6,010,121.04, VAT groups and businesses registered in REDEME, as well as those that opt in. Deadlines vary by record and transaction. Its application must be reviewed for each business.

When will electronic invoicing between businesses become mandatory in Spain?

Under the timetable in force on 30 October 2026, the B2B requirement will apply from 6 October 2027 to those whose turnover exceeded €8 million in the previous calendar year, and from 6 October 2028 to other businesses and professionals within its scope. The exceptions and transitional obligations must be reviewed for each case.

What is the difference between VERI*FACTU, SII and electronic invoicing?

VERI*FACTU is a type of invoicing system that submits records to the AEAT. SII enables electronic VAT ledger management and has its own scope. B2B electronic invoicing governs the exchange of invoices between businesses and professionals. These are separate frameworks: Odoo must be configured for the relevant obligations, without assuming they all apply simultaneously.
