2. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files a website can store in your browser. Local storage, also known as localStorage, allows information to be stored on a device and retrieved on subsequent visits. Although they work differently, both are subject to the rules applicable to storing and accessing information on a user’s device.

This policy explains how these technologies are used on the Avannubo website. The first-party local storage described below remembers interface options and the status of a notice; it is not used to build advertising profiles.

3. What this website currently uses

  • First-party theme and language preferences, stored in your browser when you use their selectors.
  • A local record of the dismissal of the side notice about our own services.
  • External resources for fonts, animations and remote support, described in this policy.

We do not currently have Google Analytics or behavioural advertising pixels integrated. The presence of links to social networks or maps does not mean their tracking tools are integrated.

4. First-party local storage inventory

The following items are managed by Avannubo and stored in your browser’s local storage for the domain from which you visit this website:

  • avannubo-theme

    Purpose: Remembers the light or dark theme chosen through the header selector.

    When it is stored: When you change the theme. Simply loading the page does not create a new preference.

    Duration: Persistent, with no automatic expiry configured. It remains until you change the preference, clear site data or the browser removes it.

  • avannubo-lang

    Purpose: Remembers the option selected in the language selector.

    When it is stored: When you click an option in the selector.

    Duration: Persistent, with no automatic expiry configured. It remains until you change the preference, clear site data or the browser removes it.

  • avannubo-anuncio-closed-at

    Purpose: Stores when the side notice about our own services was dismissed to limit automatic reopening for 24 hours.

    When it is stored: When you close the notice using its button and when it closes automatically at the end of its display time.

    Duration: This preference takes effect for 24 hours after dismissal. The data is removed at the next check after that period expires, or sooner if you clear site data. It has no automatic browser expiry.

These items are not Google Analytics cookies and are not sent automatically with each HTTP request, as traditional cookies are. You can remove them by clearing site data in your browser.

5. External resources and services

  • Google Fonts: provides the website’s fonts through connections to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com.
  • Lottie and its distribution resources: the support page downloads an animation from lottie.host. Its player may also download components from content delivery networks such as jsDelivr or unpkg.
  • Remote support: resources are loaded from code.jquery.com and islonline.com, and a connection is made to remoto.avancemgrup.com to provide remote access. The technologies required for a session may depend on that service’s configuration.
  • External links: opening a social network, map or external portal takes you to a service with its own cookie and privacy settings.

Downloading an external resource does not in itself mean cookies are installed, but it may disclose connection data, such as the IP address, to the provider. Not all cookies providers describe for their own pages are attributed to this website: actual use depends on the resource or service loaded.

Storage strictly necessary to provide a requested feature and interface preferences chosen by the user may be exempt from consent when used exclusively for that purpose. The theme and language selector option are stored based on your choice.

The exemption does not apply automatically because a technology is first-party or described as “functional”. In particular, automatically recording the dismissal of a notice does not in itself amount to a user choice. Uses that are not strictly necessary must have prior consent or stop using that storage.

Simply browsing, closing a notice or consulting this policy does not constitute consent to non-exempt cookies or technologies. A purely informational notice does not replace an acceptance and rejection mechanism where such consent is required.

7. How to control or delete this data

You can change the theme and language option using the header selectors. To remove stored values, use your browser’s privacy options and clear the site’s data. Check that this includes local storage as well as cookies.

You can also configure your browser to block third-party cookies or limit storage. Doing so may remove display preferences or make certain external features unavailable. If you delete the side notice record, it may be displayed again.

8. Future introduction of Google Analytics

Google Analytics is not active in the current configuration. If introduced, this policy will be updated to identify the technologies used, their purposes, duration, providers and safeguards applicable to any international transfers.

Before activating analytics cookies requiring consent, there must be a mechanism to accept or reject them with equivalent ease and subsequently withdraw the choice. Where several non-exempt purposes are used, they must be configurable separately. Measurement requiring consent must remain disabled until consent is obtained.
